How Ennetix’s xVisor Diagnosed Network Issue Impacting Application Access (e.g., Zoom Web Conferencing)
Problem
Today, many organizations and user groups employ conferencing systems, such as Zoom, to connect callers over distributed geographical locations. When a user complains that the system is unresponsive or slow, the video is grainy or absent, the audio is jittery or unintelligible, etc., the problem could be in the Zoom application or server, or in the network, or in the network services/functions (e.g., DNS, LDAP, Authentication, etc.) which are invoked while accessing the application. IT staff should be able to resolve these issues by gaining visibility into all aspects of the application-delivery infrastructure for public cloud or on-premise mission-critical enterprise applications.
Solution
xVisor can pinpoint performance issues in public-cloud applications infrastructures in real-time using the discovered application-service topology for the application and its users. For a Zoom session, Fig. 3 shows that there is a link (colored red), which is having a high delay on the network. But does this network link delay have a significant impact on Zoom transactions? xVisor can analyze the transaction heat map to determine whether some transactions are taking more time than their baseline values (learned adaptively by our AI algorithms). Unfortunately, the user transactions are impacted… due to a transient network delay problem on one of the network hops (please see screenshot below).
Overall, this shows how one can troubleshoot a performance problem in Zoom, whether the problem is at the network layer, or at the application layer, or at the service layer.

Ennetix xVisor is the industry-leading solution that provides 360-degree visibility of application-delivery infrastructures, thereby pinpointing issues (shown in the above use cases) at the application layer, network layer, or service layer, in near real-time.
